Presentations and workshops
Major changes require joint action. We facilitate change with knowledge and tools that strengthen imagination and expand the scope of action for both managers and employees.
“Social innovation is about mobilizing the knowledge, ideas, and skills of people, organizations, and businesses to create long-term change or solve a challenge here and now.”
– Academy Director Anders Folmer Buhelt
Would you like us to assist with your change process?
The Academy strengthens our collective capacity for change by providing knowledge about social innovation and sharing tools and approaches for new practices. In presentations and workshops, we create space for development and reflection. We set frameworks that free participants from fixed positions and expand our collective imagination.
Blue Cross 130 years
On the occasion of the Blue Cross's 130th anniversary in Denmark, Danish Social Innovation Academy facilitated Danish Social Innovation Academy journey through the next 130 years with 300 Blue Cross employees. The purpose was to train their collective imagination and gather scenarios for the organization's future in a new era. What will care look like in 130 years? Community and charity? Artificial intelligence in social work?
Together, the participants formed concrete, positive future scenarios for both society and the Blue Cross, and hundreds of ideas were shared across the organization.
The power of change: How we organize ourselves for social change
In the fall of 2025, Forandringskraft, together with the Lauritzen Foundation and MedVind in Østerbyen, invited participants to a learning day on organizing social change.
The Academy's head of secretariat, Clara Dawe, moderated the day's events and invited participants to join in a debate on the role of power in change work with Sine Egede Eskesen, development director at the Bikuben Foundation, Diana Mose Olsen, director of Mandecentret Syd og Sønderjylland, and Sarah Vaht Steinitz, member of the Association for Elite and Power Studies and co-author of the book Magtens Atlas (The Atlas of Power).
After that, Amanda B. Gallmann held a workshop where people got to practice their imagination. If we want to make a more inclusive and fair future, way more people need to be able to dream on behalf of society.
Popular support for the green transition
A historic transformation of the Danish landscape is currently underway as a result of climate adaptation, coastal protection, energy production, and the Green Tripartite Agreement.
In a webinar held by DM Bio, Secretariat Manager Clara Dawe explained why the green transition is also a social transition.
“It is a huge transformation of our society across the private sphere, systems, public life, our welfare institutions, businesses, etc. People's local communities will look different. People's everyday lives, consumption, habits will have to be different. We need to get people on board.”
Clara explained how the five maxims for social innovation can be used to strengthen local involvement and drive in the green transition, including through initiatives such as Vores Landskaber (Our Landscapes).
